My Teaching Philosophy

After 25+ years of playing bass, I've learned that everyone's musical journey is unique. Some players want to lock in with the drums and be the backbone of the rhythm section. Others want to explore melodic playing and take the bass to the front. Both approaches are valid, and I'm here to help you discover your own voice on the instrument.

I believe in building a strong foundation first—proper technique, timing, and understanding the fundamentals. From there, we can explore whatever style of music excites you, whether that's rock, jazz, funk, metal, or anything in between.
